This international textile manufacturing company based in the Huddersfield area is looking for a General Operative within their Dyeing facility to assist in the processing of fabrics for dyeing and finishing.
You will ideally be close to the HD9 postcode as there may be some shift work involved. They are looking for a machine operative who has some flexibility with regards to the hours worked.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing fabrics used in the dyeing process and will include activities such as sewing, weighing, stacking and storage as well as checking on quality as the job progresses to report any inconsistencies to management.
You will be involved in moving fabrics around the factory and will be required to follow procedures, fill in worksheets as well as assisting in general multiskilled duties. You must have the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure. You will also be able to demonstrate the upkeep of a tidy work space and be health and safety conscious.
Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
This is a physically demanding job in a busy manufacturing environment which requires good hand eye co-ordination. The ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
