This Financial Planning firm has an exciting opportunity in their Guildford office for a General Office Assistant to provide general administrative and facilities support.

Duties will include opening and distributing the daily post, sending letters of authority to product providers and Discretionary Fund Managers, ordering stationery and office supplies, general filing, photocopying, scanning, binding and second sighting of documents, diary management, meeting and greeting clients, telephone and reception cover and setting up meeting rooms.

The General Office Assistant will provide an effective service to both internal and external clients and will provide a friendly and professional first point of contact for all guests.

As a minimum, the job holder will have achieved GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English, be IT literate and have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. An interest in pursuing a career in financial planning would be advantageous as there is potential for this role to progress as the business continues to develop and grow.

As part of a small team the job holder will be expected to contribute to a wide variety of activities and be flexible in supporting the wider team and the business. This role would suit a highly motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, capable of multitasking within a team environment. It is essential that the job holder is well organised, is able to communicate effectively at all levels (both internally and externally), and is able to work with initiative to prioritise and handle a varied workload with a high level of attention to detail.
