An established joinery manufacturer are looking for a motivated and experienced General Manager to head up the business; driving growth and profitability whilst reporting directly to the owners. The successful candidate will be managing a team of 10 employees and be responsible for the workshop production as well as the broader aspects of the business performance.
The role will involve;
- Managing the workshop production, ensuring high outputs and maintaining quality.
- Overseeing estimating, purchasing and general office admin.
- Overseeing, sales, surveys and design functions.
- Managing the HR function of the business.
- Meeting regularly with the business owners to report on business performance.
- Client management and development.
- Assisting in the development of new product lines and improving existing ones.
- Planning and controlling the workflow through the business.
- Assisting in the financial and project accounting.
The successful candidate is likely to have;
- Minimum of two year’s experience in business or workshop management.
- Experience of joinery manufacturing or similar industry.
- A strong work ethic, with a focus on total business performance.
- A friendly, client facing personality.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Current working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confidence in leading a team and dealing with people.
- Ability to multi task and work on their own confidently.
The package we are offering is;
- Basic Salary of between £33,000 and £38,000 gross per annum, dependant on experience.
