This company are currently looking for a General Manager to take over from the Owner-Directors who wish to step back after 16 years in the industry.
This is an ideal opportunity for a hard working entrepreneurial manager to provide growth to a small but successful digital marketing agency and in return be rewarded with a stake (shares) in the business.

It is critical that you have a fundamental understanding of the digital marketing industry (especially SEO), what clients want from their digital agency and the ability to help deliver it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand and encourage the vision for the agency and collaborate with the owner directors on a long term strategy.
Proactively lead and contribute to the on-going vision of the company, leading by example and driving an entrepreneurial spirit within the team.
Oversee and ensure that opportunities for new business are developed, pursued and converted through the creation of a new business target pipeline against which revenue goals and a timeline should be set.
Involvement in running pitch processes and new business activity, ensuring optimum productivity and success.
Effective management of the staff and key service providers
Develop an overall annual new business revenue target for Business Development against which their performance can be objectively measured and reported against.
Development of new services to cater for an ever changing digital landscape.

ABOUT YOU:

Substantial proven experience in strategically leading a department and/or running a for a digital agency or business.
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and converting new business opportunities, understanding all stages of the new business process and ability to pick up a pitch at any stage and make it a success.
Understand the value of great ideas and able to recognise strong digital work and how to produce it.
Exceptional relationship builder with the ability to operate at a senior and strategic level with key clients and help resolve issues smoothly and effectively.
Problem-solving - understanding and offering solutions.
Durable, stamina, relentless high energy, drive and pro-activeness. Ability to do what it needs to "just get stuff done" over any obstacles. This is no a 9-5 job!
Naturally outgoing, charismatic.
Strategic thinker with an excellent understanding of key industry influences and the ability to apply this thinking to a variety of clients and brands.
Commercial focus and entrepreneurial drive.
Excellent people manager with an ability to inspire, motivate, mentor and build commitment.
Ability to successfully collaborate with the Owner-Directors
Self-starter who is confident in their own abilities and decision making.

In return they offer:

A basic salary of £40,000. After six months and subject to satisfactory performance a share in profits (by the issue of B shares) which will boost the salary by another £20,000 to £30,000
