We offer a complete garden service, managing the whole garden construction from the designer’s initial concept plan to the completion of the fully planted and landscaped garden.

Once created the Garden Maintenance team maintains the gardens and ensures they always look their best. This team is an essential part of our core business and we need reliable, enthusiastic, positive and experienced individuals to maintain and exceed our customer’s expectations.

Reporting to our Managing Director, you'll be a highly self-motivated person, with good horticultural knowledge and be capable of working on your own initiative. You’ll have excellent customer service skills, be naturally capable of demonstrating your knowledge and have core skills in all types of garden maintenance.

You must have experience of managing teams and a good knowledge of working in gardens that require the need for attention to detail. In the role you will be liaising with clients and designers, so a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are vital. You’ll need excellent team work skills and be keen to help and provide direction to the other gardeners in the team.

Main Duties

- Liaising with clients and suppliers
- Lawn care, mowing and striping
- Planting, lifting, mulching, pruning, weeding, leaf cleaning
- Hedge cutting and strimming (hand and machine)
- General watering and management of irrigation systems
- Spraying, i.e. pest control, feeding and stone cleaning
- Management of garden water features
- Implementing company Health and Safety documentation
- Supervision of Staff, Machinery, Tools, and Equipment
- Completion of weekly tool checks and time management records
- Planning and scheduling daily tasks

Skills Required

- Horticultural qualification - minimum Level 2 is highly desirable but not essential (Depending on experience)
- PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates
- Health & Safety knowledge i.e. Familiar with HSE best practice standards
- First Aid Qualification
- Full clean UK driving license is essential as, you will be expected to pick up colleagues, stock from suppliers and travel to different customer sites each day
