Required to join this hospices professional & friendly team who deliver a highly regarded service to their 220+ staff and 1000 volunteers.

The Donor Care Team are responsible for making sure that all income donated by supporters is processed efficiently and accurately, and that every interaction between the Hospice and their supporters is positive to maximise supporter relationships:

- To put the interests of our supporters at the heart of their fundraising operations and processes
- To accurately maintain and update the fundraising database with new supporter and donation details, ensuring that all donations are acknowledged in a timely and appropriate manner, including the shops
- To obtain and input Gift Aid information onto the database to allow the organisation to maximise this vital funding stream
- Act as a Champion of the database by supporting its development and training colleagues in correct use of the database
- To support all Fundraising activities and members of the Fundraising Team through accurate data entry and interrogation
- Respond to queries from the public by telephone, email or face-to-face
- To provide general operational support, including compiling reports, maintaining accurate filing systems
- To ensure that all interactions with supporters are as positive as they can be and ensure that their supporters are made to feel special and valued
- Play a key role in the data improvement project and work to embed a culture of effective data management across the Fundraising teams
- Create and produce the necessary reporting structures to enable Fundraisers to understand the performance of their activities against the overall fundraising budgets and targets
- Assist in the provision of training for existing and new staff/volunteers
- Accurately create new records and maintain existing ones on the database, ensuring consistency of data
- Accurately input donations received onto the database, including Cash, Cheques, Bank Statements and online giving websites
- Create and maintain recurring gifts and liaise with their 3rd Party DD handling company
- Support the management of the Gift Aid reclaim process to maximise take up
- Set out and measure adherence to service level agreements around core processes including gift acknowledgements
- Manage the production of thank you letters/emails for donations, working with members of the team to update these at regular intervals.
- Ensure special letters are written by the appropriate member of staff, supplying donation paperwork where necessary
- Proactively seek opportunities to ‘surprise and delight’ supporters, understanding that every contact point is an opportunity to positively influence how supporters feel about the hospice
