They are seeking an experienced individual who has the ability to both design and develop software. You will be part of a tightly-knit team with a passion for branding and creativity.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Must be of graduate caliber, and ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience. Able to demonstrate the following;
- Motivated problem solver who takes an unbiased approach to finding the very best solutions
- Define the architecture, build processes, and test setup for the entire stack
- Methodical thinking who will define, design, and ship new features
- ‘Pixel perfect’ attitude towards application development
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Adept JavaScript ES6 user
- Skilled with PHP7, HTML5, CSS3
- Strong skills in test driven development (TDD)
- Strong ‘DevOps’ skills in involving configuration, build, deployment and management of new and existing application environments.
- Ability to pick up new ideas and new tools and put them to use rapidly
- Comfortable using Windows, macOS and linux environments
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong skills in node.js runtime
- GIT version control
- Highly experienced working within the AWS infrastructure EC2, RDS, S3 etc.
- RESTful API development using Express.js backed by an SQL database
- Experience with MySQL / MariaDB
- Experienced in at least one of the following TDD, BDD, or ATDD
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience using NoSQL and Postgres databases
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Strong communication skills, able to discuss technical challenges with other developers and share knowledge.
- Collaborate with non-technical team members, comfortable explaining solutions in layman's terms.
- Strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and requirements within the business.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
