Front-end developer with solid HTML5 & Wordpress experience

We’re looking for a talented front-end Web Developer with skills in building Wordpress back-ends to work on new and innovative projects for a wide range of clients at our creative agency based in the Northern quarter, Manchester.

We specialise in bespoke website builds for a wide range of clients but a large portion of our clients are estate agents so experience with building estate agency websites would be a plus!

You’ll be a key member of our development team and also play a role in the development of our new company products.

The right candidate will care about quality, be a self-starter and have a real passion for development and progressing their skillset.

Essential Skills

- HTML5
- CSS3 (BEM methodology and OOCSS)
- SASS / LESS
- An understanding of typography rules
- Framework independent responsive development
- Cross-browser and device compatibility
- Javascript
- JS libraries (jQuery, Modernizr)
- Taskrunners (Grunt / Gulp)
- WordPress theme and plugin development
- Advanced custom fields experience essential
- Version control (Git via CLI)
- Basic command line knowledge (Bash/SSH)
- API integration (Google Maps/Geolocation etc)

Responsibilities:

- Development of client and internal website in Wordpress and CraftCMS websites (WordPress essential)
- Browser testing
- Responsive layout testing
- Perform maintenance development and correction of identified bugs
- Communicate regularly with project managers to provide understanding of technical requirements, processes and dependencies
- Recommend improvements to processes
