This freight forwarding company was established in 2004. Over the last 2-3 years the Company has grown significantly and is now looking to enter a new exciting growth phase, as it develops its niche within the transport and logistics industry.

In order to maintain their advantage in a competitive market, they offer one to one bespoke support to all their clients providing advice, support and solutions to customers that are looking for a one stop shop freight forwarder, including customs procedures, documentation, letters of credit and additional services which go beyond those of their competitors and are not normally offered in the market place.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Freight Forwarder to join this expanding company.

Excellent opportunity to work for a small privately owned freight forwarder, the position will allow you to develop your role within the business as the Company continues to grow.

As an Experienced Freight Forwarder your duties will include:

- Responsible for multi modal shipments, Air, Sea, Road and Courier from Collection to Delivery on both imports and exports.
- Organising paperwork, Completion of export documentation.
- Organising customs clearance, undertaking NES entries.
- Booking Air/Road/Sea and Express Courier shipments with appropriate suppliers.
- Providing advice and guidance to customers on freight and customs related issues.
- Developing and building relationships with existing and new customers, suppliers and other stakeholders, identifying and seeking new business opportunities.
- Contributing towards the Company’s overall business objectives including continuous Improvement programme.
- Maintaining the In House CRM system.

Candidates must have:

- Experience 3+ years in freight forwarding or in an international trade environment which is customer facing.
- Experience of organising either Air or Sea Freight or a combination of both, including imports and exports.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Good knowledge of customs procedures.
- Knowledge of Bookings, Quotes, Customs Entries, Bills of Lading, Letters of Credit and all other shipping instructions and freight documentation.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills.

They must also be able to demonstrate, a willingness to learn new skills and to enjoy working as part of a team.

For the right candidate there is also the opportunity to progress to Freight Supervisor within 12-18 months subject to them completing their objectives and demonstrating the competences necessary for the role.
