A leading litho and digital printing business with a UK-wide client base and a reputation for excellence. The business has been growing and expanding successfully over the last few years attracting an extensive range of blue chip clients from across the UK because of the quality of their work and customer-centric philosophy.

They are now moving into a new phase of strategic growth and expansion over the next 2 years and beyond. A Folder Gluer Operator is now being hired to join this business to be responsible for finishing a range of commercial and Packaging print projects.

You will be responsible for the finishing of a wide range of commercial print to a high standard and previous Folder Gluer Operator experience is essential to this role.

You will be required to demonstrate the following.

- Knowledge of the operation of Folder Gluing machines
- knowledge of packaging products, Crash lock, tuck flap, cup holders etc.

Key Activities
- Run Folder Gluer machinery and other ancillary equipment) and learn how to use any new machine.
- Follow the relevant instructions given on every job bag, taking into consideration what impact your actions have on the next process/department.
- Complete all work in the most cost effective manner; maintain quality standards and production deadlines relevant to the job/customer in hand.
- Sign, date and complete the company quality control procedures/pallet tags, making sure that every job is checked for all areas highlighted on the relevant area of the procedure/pallet tags.
- Produce high quality file copies at all times and highlight to the appropriate person if there are any problems, whether a finishing issue or print issue.
- Ensure FLT training is up to date so can operate the forklift truck when required (training to be provided).
- Take into account and be aware of all Health and Safety procedures (e.g. perform weekly emergency stop tests on all machinery,
- Query all jobs that mock ups are not provided for with management and follow the appropriate procedure/advice.
- Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Carry out van driving duties if required by management.

Recent career experience is required in the same/similar role.
