They are recruiting for a Fire and Security Contracting Estimator to join and support our client's team and work on their existing and up and coming project opportunities.

Reporting into the Managing Director, main duties of the Estimator role will include:

- Analysing tender documents received, ahead of discussion with the team in respect of decision making as to whether a tender is to be prepared or the opportunity declined.
- Developing and building on existing relationships with clients to secure the desired level of enquiries in target markets
- Developing and building on existing relationships with suppliers to ensure materials, sub-contract labour and specialist subcontractors are purchased/provide the most cost competitive solutions at all times
- Preparing accurate project tenders for submission to client in line with set deadlines
- Following up/negotiating with clients to secure tendered projects in order to meet/exceed set annual sales targets
- Answering technical or commercial client queries post-tender
- Developing and offering value engineering solutions to "gain an edge" when initially submitting tenders and post tender when required.

The Candidate:
As a successful Fire and Security Contracting Estimator candidate you must be able to demonstrate previous estimating experience, ideally within the Fire and Security Systems installation market place.
- A qualification in a related discipline would be viewed as highly beneficial and you must have a good working knowledge of relevant standards/regulations and price trends.
- An Estimator must be commercially minded, and have excellent communication and negotiation skills as the position will be very customer orientated, in addition to strong mathematical and IT capabilities.
- An ability to work well within a team and excellent attention to detail is essential for this role.
