This is an opportunity to join fast growing, upwardly mobile technology business who are shaking the tree in the energy market.
They have a great opportunity for a financial performance reporting manager to join their small, friendly Finance team based in central Nottingham.
They work with new energy businesses to help them run and manage their Energy supply operation by providing a bureau style financial reporting and business advisory service.
In this role you would work with 3 or 4 of their residential clients to provide standard monthly reporting for gross margin, revenue and cost, amongst a range of other metrics. Aside from the monthly reporting, you would also work on more wide-ranging projects for the clients. This might include analysing process improvements, working on ad hoc reports, analysing regulatory information and, more generally, giving the clients insights into the real performance of their business.
Desired Skills and Experience
This role would suit an enthusiastic individual who is able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge and experience of working in the energy industry would be advantageous.
- SQL skills to an intermediate level with current regular usage.
- Experience of financial reporting – gross margin, cost, revenue etc.
- A very high attention to detail
- Ideally some experience dealing with customers by email, phone and face to face.
- Very much delivery focused and able to prioritise to get the immediate and important jobs done
- Used to working to tight deadlines
