Financial Reporting Accountant

Full Time, Permanent
Package: £55,000 to £70,000 per annum + annual company bonus + onsite parking
Working: Monday – Friday
Location: Winnersh Triangle, Berkshire

This Financial Reporting Accountant will provide support across the UK based Group of companies. The main purpose of this role is to produce and report a full accounting consolidation of the European entities every month, utilising a leading consolidation and reporting tool, and taking input from teams across Europe.

Responsibilities:
- Day to day running of the consolidation process
- Add new acquisitions, including (but not limited to) roll-out of BPC to the newly acquired entities as well as fair valuing the acquisition balance sheet (with support from valuation consultants as needed) and accounting for net assets on acquisition
- Capturing data for disclosures in quarterly shareholder reporting and the annual FRS 102 group accounts, as well as for use in monthly management reporting
- Driving efficiency, control and continuous improvement of the Group close process
- Manage repeatable / functional consolidation processing like input of FX rates, ownership structures, data mapping tables, user access rights etc
- Own and review consolidation accounting entries
- Upload and review of data provided to Advantage and other shareholders as well as maintaining GAAP adjustments to enable reporting in both US and UK GAAP

Requirements:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong technical accountant with experience of preparing consolidation entries and of multi-currency consolidations
- Beneficial to have previous involvement in BPC or similar system in implementation or significant system enhancements
- Strong process mindset and process improvement experience
- Proven track record of driving change in a project environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- A team player with strong technical skills and a willingness to take ownership
- Ability to analyse financial data and draw sound conclusions from it
