An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join this unique leading UK supplier of wire into the cable industry within the UK and Europe.

The Role & Candidate
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team in a position of high responsibility. You will be responsible for the Finance function, leading financial planning and management reporting processes, managing and developing a small team, and also managing outsourced services such as Payroll, IT Support and Energy Management.

This is a very hands-on role with a wide range of responsibilities, and requires a candidate with leadership skills and a high level of commercial acumen and a broad business understanding. You will be ACA/ACMA/ACCA qualified and preferably have experience in the manufacturing sector.

Job Specification
- Full responsibility and control of the Finance function
- Company Secretarial matters, ensuring all legal obligations are met
- Providing key management information, analysis and advice to the Senior Management Team
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and analysis of variances
- Cash Management and short term cashflow forecasting
- Preparation of Budgets and forecasts
- Lead contact for the annual audit and taxation matters
- Raw material Procurement
- Booking material with suppliers back to back with customer orders
- Arranging delivery of raw materials according to production requirements
- Maintain accurate reconciliations of tolling accounts (free issued material)
- Responsibility for Monthly Payroll – managing data input and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll by third party agency
- Main Contact for Banks, Auditors, Consultant Partners, Lawyers and Insurance Companies (including
Credit Insurance)
- Responsibility for the company Pension Scheme
- Responsibility for annual Research & Development Tax claims
- Submission of annual P11Ds to HMRC
- Management of the outsourced IT function
- Energy Management with the assistance of an external consultant
- Project leader for ERP systems development & implementation (currently Microsoft Dynamics Nav)
- Responsibility for Finished Goods Distribution
- Effective control of scrap material and selling to scrap merchants for highest return
- Ongoing monitoring of costs and maximising savings & reductions in all areas (negotiating skills are a plus)
- Foreign currency exposure management
- Liasing with customers over service issues, with Sales & Logistics Administrator being a direct report
- Chair Monthly Senior Management meetings
