A successful and well known group of businesses are seeking to recruit a highly capable and experienced person, to take on the finance manager role and work as part of the senior team to drive the businesses to their next stage of development.

In addition to leading the finance function, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the business’s continued commercial and operational success. The business has built a strong client base and there is considerable potential to achieve further substantial growth within its sector by leveraging its strong brand presence in the market place.

Overseeing the day-to-day financial accounting function for multiple business units, developing and maintaining a robust financial control environment, preparing management accounts and analysis to support business decision making will be challenging, but for the right person rewarding. The role also includes responsibility for all company statutory reporting, company secretarial, taxation, audit and the day-to-day management of banking relationships.

The finance manager will report to the Managing Director and will ultimately be a member of the senior management team. They will be expected to provide critical financial analysis and close support to the commercial teams during day to day operations.

The successful candidate will have the following profile / background:

- Experience in a similar position within a multi-company, multi-system environment.
- You will need to hold an ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- A technically astute finance and administration manager with hands on experience gained in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Budgeting and MI reporting experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure that incisive financial assessments are delivered in a timely manner.
- IT literate and able recognise how new technology can be used to improve the business.
- Capable of developing effective working relationships built on professional competence, trust and respect.
- Demonstrable success in building and running high-performance teams.
