This Company which is a major player in the Engineering Sector is looking for a dynamic hands on Finance Manager to assist the MD in delivering the strategic goals of the Company. The Company is lead by family based ethics and has the wellbeing of its employees at the heart of how it operates. They are looking for someone who can lead a small Finance Team as well as being involved in day to day transactional functions.

Experience:
The role would suit someone with experience gained in an Engineering, Manufacturing or Production business
Possessing either an Accounting qualification, or who is qualified by experience

Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts (including variance analysis)
- Full monthly balance sheet reconciliation pack
- Manage credit controller
- Supplier Invoice Processing and Statement Verification
- Supplier payment runs and invoice processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations
- Process staff expenses
- Export Documentation Compliance

On an annual basis the role is also responsible for:
- Completing budget template and submitting to Group
- Prepare year-end audit pack and liaise with auditors during fieldwork

The role reports to the company Managing Director and has a dotted line to the Group Finance Director

Essential:
- Sound knowledge of Accounting Systems or experience of a similar system
- A proven track record of producing management accounts with minimal supervision
- Ability to prepare full balance sheet reconciliations
- Hands-on attitude - Comfortable working at all levels within a small company: Including processing invoices, preparing accounts & present results at management meetings.

Desirable Skills
- Experience of preparing audit schedule and liaising with auditors
- Ability to identify and make improvements to system and processes
