This isn't your typical charity, their mission is to tackle financial exclusion by providing access to affordable financial services for those individuals who are unable to access mainstream financial services.

They have a number of subsidiaries which help to deliver their mission; and support the wider Responsible Finance industry by providing business services to organisations who are are ethically aligned with the charity with an interest in catering for those that are under served.

You will be supporting the charity through its next phase of growth. This includes playing a pivotal part in business planning, strategy, improving and introducing financial controls and procedures to drive operational efficiency, productivity and social impact.

The role will suit someone who has experience of working in the financial services sector; is self-motivated with extensive management and leadership experience. You’ll have experience of business planning, developing strategies in addition to analytical skills and experience of SAP Accounting or similar tools to drive business improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Management of the Finance and Administrative functions;
• Financial budgeting, strategy planning for whole Group;
• Monitor the working capital and cash-flow for the business, completing monthly cash-flow forecasts;
• Producing monthly financial accounts and performance reports for SMT , Board and Investors;
• Supporting investment raising efforts and managing on-going investor relationships;
• Managing relationships with key external clients and stakeholders including external audit;
• Reporting to Audit and Risk Committee;
• Working closely with CEO, SMT and Board in driving strategy and performance;
• Staff development and performance management;

Required skills, qualifications and experience

• Finance Director or similar role – 5+ Years’ experience
• Knowledge of regulated Financial Services;
• Financial budgeting and strategy planning
• Investment raising;
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA;
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, and FRS102;
• Advanced Excel skills;
• Company Secretary;

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

• FCA Approved Person;
• Compliance and Risk;
• 3rd Sector experience;
• SAP and analytical application experience;

Hours of work Monday to Friday (35 hours)
Salary £45,000 - £55,000 p.a
