A young and rapidly growing SaaS company seeks to expand it's finance function with immediate effect. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the company's Employee Share Option Scheme.

The ideal candidate would:
- Have previous experience in working in a finance/accounting role – within an SME would be advantageous
- Use a highly pressurised environment to motivate and drive themselves
- Be comfortable with professionally and confidently liaising with Senior Management/Directors
- Have excellent IT and Communication skills
- This job would suit someone either returning to work after a career break or seeking a role in a rapidly growing environment

Outline Job Description;
The job holder will support the FD in recording and retrieving financial details of the company, including maintaining financial records, producing monthly management accounts ready for review by FD, processing payments together with general office management duties to ensure the smooth running of the office.

Core Job Functions:
- Work closely with the FD to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters
- Input accounting data into the accounting system (currently Xero) with speed and accuracy
- Process Sales Orders and raise invoices to Customers (liaise closely with Sales Team)
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts, spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required
- Bank Reconciliations
- Oversee payments to Suppliers
- To administer and pay expenses using software package (Receipt Bank)
- Post payroll reports and liaise with the external payroll services company
- Preparation and collation of VAT Returns
- Assist in the end of year preparation and procedures
- Provide financial support to other departments as required
- Oversee the on-boarding process for new staff joining the company
- General office management duties e.g. flights, hotels, etc.
- Assist Marketing Department with conferences as required

Skills and Qualifications:

- IT literate with hands on experience of using a finance system for reporting and monitoring purposes (Xero) and be competent to a good standard in using Microsoft Office Packages with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand technical finance issues and support users to resolve issues
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving and decision making as and when issues arise
- Ability to plan ahead and identify ways of improving current procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and remain calm and patient to make decisions under pressure
- Effective Time management and organizational skills – ability to work on own initiative and be flexible in accordance with changing priorities at short notice
- Must be willing to work additional hours as required for the completion of workload tasks
