This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning software company based in Bournemouth. This company is a world leader in the delivery of simulation and training solutions for Air Traffic Control operations.
They are looking for a self-motivated Finance Assistant with excellent attention to detail. If successful, you will be given training on the job (or you may be working towards an accounting qualification) and be responsible for their purchase ledger and support the Financial Controller in sustaining an efficient accounting function.
Successful candidates will demonstrate good team working skills, the ability to work under pressure, and an aptitude for IT. Any experience of purchase ledger or basic accounting would be a distinct advantage.
Key responsibilities will be
- Receive and process all purchase invoices
- To code and check invoices
- To match POs to invoices received
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
- Prepare a list of suppliers to be paid fortnightly and ensure all supplier accounts are settled within our terms
- Reconciling supplier statements with the Purchase Ledger
- Check the company credit card against receipts and enter into Sage Line 50
- Raise Sales Invoices
- Credit Control, chasing debts, ensuring all customers' accounts are settled within the organisation's terms
- Bank reconciliations
- Manage purchase and sales ledger reports as required
- Cashbook and Petty Cash
- Foreign currency process and reconciliations
- Quarterly Vat return
