This company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality static storage solutions, state of the art intra logistics and automated material handling systems

With this continued growth they are looking for a Residence Maintenance Support Engineer to work with multiple customer sites across the country.

You will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations across all UK Residence Maintenance sites including sickness absence cover.

Typically this will include maintenance activity, fault rectification, breakdowns, repairs and refurbishment of automated systems.

Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Exceeding levels of customer service and expectations in line with SLA’s
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Reactive and preventative maintenance of all material handling equipment (roller and belt conveyors, automated tote storage/retrieval System, carton assembly, strapping/wrapping machines, telescopic conveyors, vertical lift systems, pick to light systems, sortation, spiral and telescopic conveyors etc.)
- Ensuring the customer receives the agreed level of support
- Proactively promote and comply with all health and safety regulations
Please Note: The successful candidate must have the ability to work and rescue at height

Effective communication is essential for this role in order to balance the demands of supporting your team as well as the needs of the Customer. You will have the ability to deal with problems effectively therefore thinking on your feet quickly to deal with issues/faults proactively minimising down time and actively working to key performance indicators.

You will observe quality and control processes in line with company and customer requirements. You may also be required to travel to other sites for training purposes.

To apply for this position, the minimum requirements are as follows:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3/BTEC/HNC Engineering or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or PLC Engineering or a recognised apprenticeship in an appropriate engineering discipline
- Knowledge/experience of SCADA Systems and Warehouse Control Systems
- Recognised cross training from Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or vice versa (this can be provided)
- PLC/PCX knowledge and experience is advantageous
- Experience of automated materials handling equipment is advantageous
- Ability to work at height is essential

Based at the nearest site to your home, the successful candidate must be able to travel across all UK sites (Staffordshire, Birmingham, Castle Donnington, Daventry, Northampton, Thatcham, East London, Swansea and Andover).

You will work a 40 hour week on a flexible basis, Monday to Friday and cover 1 in 4 weekends dependant on service requirements. Hours will vary on a day to day basis working days and nights. Overtime may also be available.
