Service Engineer – PC based print inspection systems - UK & Ireland

This is an opportunity to join a very successful company supplying print inspection and artwork proofing systems to the printed packaging industry. Their Proofiler and ProofRunner systems ensure that the text, graphics, barcodes and Braille on packaging materials are error free. The markets they address include printing companies, artwork studios, and companies involved in the packaging of pharmaceuticals, food & drink and branded goods. Operating directly or via their partners they have installed over 1700 systems across six continents.

Their UK partner which was formed in 2007 is searching for an enthusiastic Service Engineer who will support their customers’ systems - remotely or on site and maintain their excellent reputation for after sales service.

The Role
- Preparation and implementation of commissioning process of their systems (on print machines or as stand-alone solutions) at customer sites across UK and Ireland in the print, pharma, cosmetic, branded goods and food industries
- Training customers in correct use of their systems so they get the best user experience
- Providing support on site or remotely using TeamViewer

The ideal candidate

- Will be midlands based (working from home) and be willing to travel across UK & Ireland and occasionally internationally; and will have
- completed a technical vocational training/degree (e.g., print technician, mechatronics technician, electrical technician, etc.)
- first-hand experience in the print industry (an advantage but not essential)
- a good working knowledge of PC controlled systems
- an excellent customer and service disposition
- an open, structured, committed and independent way of working
