This is an opportunity to join a long established company providing industry leading maintenance service to the UK's major supermarket chains. They provide rapid reactive engineering support, planned preventative maintenance and other ancillary services for all food production equipment in store.
Due to continued growth and expansion an opportunity has arisen within their UK field based Reactive Response team for a Field Operations Manager for the Kent area.
The role will involve managing the daily personal routines of reactive engineers and technical assistants, including senior engineers.
Day to day duties will include:
- Working without supervision and providing a proactive support function, highlighting areas of concern before they become an issue.
- Attending customer sites on a regional/national basis.
- Assisting in the resolution of customer problems in a timely manner.
- Assisting in the planning and management of 24/7 engineer rotas/work patterns ensuring that all are aware of the final rota schedule.
- Assisting in the recruitment programme of reactive engineers/technical assistants
- Monitoring and reviewing engineer overall performance taking action such as disciplinary or training where necessary.
- Complying with company Health and Safety rules and notifying your line manager of any concerns.
- Ensuring that both yourself and your vehicle are presented to company standard.
- Carrying out any reasonable adhoc duties as requested by FM Service Manager.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar KPI / Customer driven environment and will have a high degree of flexibility in working hours and high degree of mobility as the role will involve travelling (locally but could be nationwide on occasions).
