FIELD MERCHANDISER – Heating Division

This company is recognised across both the Heating and Bathroom industries as one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers with extensive product ranges, large market share, and a high level of service. They stand out as a wholly British, family owned business that makes a principle of manufacturing what it sells.

Starting with one brand in 1964, they now manage multiple brands enabling them to appeal to the widest range of tastes and market trends. Their continuing growth stems from putting the needs of customers above all else. They include independent retailers, private and social housing providers and large national brand retailers such as B&Q and Homebase.

They are looking for an experienced Merchandiser with fitting experience to cover Northern England & Scotland. Ideal candidates should be geographically placed to service areas from Liverpool in the West to Hull in the East and throughout the North of England and Scotland.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- You will be required to visit customers retail premises ensuring displays are clean and in good working order with the appropriate labelling attached.
- You will need to check for any damages in stock and replace where necessary, or mark for return.
- You will also undertake minor repair work in consumer’s homes mainly on products under warranty. This will include contacting consumers and arranging appointments.
- You will have an excellent ‘hands on’ working knowledge of using hand and electric tools and be able to display initiative in resolving technical problems.
- You will have use of a bespoke tablet to report your job details, full training will be given.

Personal Skills and Abilities:
- You will be a self motivated, hard working individual who can work on their own initiate
- Excellent people skills, together with the ability to communicate at all levels is essential
- You will have effective time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills are required
- A mature can-do attitude is required.
- High level of proficiency with hand and electrical tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of safe working practices
- Flexibility with working hours and overnight stays
- Electrical experience would be an advantage
- PC Literate

Hours:
- 40 hours per week - with a daily ½ hr lunch break
- Mon to Fri 8.30am - 5pm

Salary:
- £23,000 - £25,000 depending on level of skills and experience
