This leading nationwide Case Management Company are recruiting for their client, a young lady in her mid-20’s who has an Acquired Brain Injury resulting in Epilepsy, cognitive and mild learning difficulties. She needs assistance to lead a productive and full life and to stay safe. She lives in her own home with 24 hour support which includes overnight stays.

Role Overview
The main focus of this post is to support our client with vocational or work activities, on outings and visits and motivate her to participate in leisure activities e.g. gym, swimming, cinema, bike riding etc, encourage her to maintain her mobility and the independence she has achieved so far and her social skills.

Role Requirements

Essential;

- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Responsible attitude.
- Cheerful with a positive outlook.
- The ability to work flexibly and use initiative.
- Tactful.
- Confident about working in the client's own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of the client, parents and family.
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality and privacy.
- A full driving license with a vehicle that can be used for work purposes
- Flexibility to cover for leave and other staff absences at short notice.

Desirable;

- Experience of working with individuals with Acquired Brain Injury and/ or Epilepsy and/ or Learning disability.

Hours
An average of approximately 37.5 hours per week to be worked in accordance with the rota. The hours will vary from week to week on a 4 week rolling rota. Shifts worked will be between 10 and 24 hours long.

Remuneration:
£9.75 - £11.25 per hour for waking hours and National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage per hour for sleeping nights. Appropriate training, regular supervision and support provided. Free DBS check.

The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check for all applicants prior to starting work.
