Based in Burgess Hill, this leader in creative interior demountable glass partitions, glazed doors, modular walls and architectural glazing solutions is looking to recruit an Export Technician to work within their Export Team.

As Export Technician you will be responsible for compiling estimates on how much it will cost to provide a client or potential client with the supply of products offered by the Company, to calculate how much a product is likely to cost and create budgets accordingly, and to order materials for projects and ensure that they are dispatched in a timely fashion.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Examine and analyse tender documentation (ranging from a basic emailed list of components, to Bills of Quantities, to drawings) in order to prepare materials estimates.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products.
- Consult with clients, suppliers, internal departments and site personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Confer with relevant personnel on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Produce analytically priced Bill of Quantities.
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting suppliers.
- Establish and maintain the tendering process and conduct negotiations.
- Receive orders / instructions from clients, check information contained within orders and if necessary double-check with clients as to requirements.
- Produce Pro-Forma invoices for sending to clients and ensure that these are paid before placing any material orders.
- Produce and place material orders from client information.
- Liaise with factory and export packing company to ensure all materials are packed and dispatched correctly.
- Maintain knowledge of current market trends, practices and products.
- Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is held and communicated in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
- Complete all administration tasks in a timely, accurate and legible manner.
- Work without supervision.

Qualifications and Experience:

The following are required:
- GCSE English (or equivalent)
- GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills

Hours and Environment:
- 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Friday.

Salary Range:
£22,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience
