This company has been producing precision engineered plastic components for 30 years to a variety of industries, including Aerospace, F1, Defence, Medical and Communications.

They are currently looking for an experienced, ambitious Quality & Inspection Manager with an engineering background to join their growing team in Kemsing near Sevenoaks in Kent.

Salary is negotiable depending on your experience and the skills that you are bringing to the team. A relocation package may be available to the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing the maintenance and development of agreed customer quality standards including checking incoming materials & finished product and in-process production checks.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to support the production and sales teams.
- Recording and reporting quality results, resolving issues speedily and effectively.
- Ensuring all metrology equipment and reporting processes are current and documented.
- Taking a key role in helping to develop and continually improve the Quality Management System across the group

Key Skills & Experience
- At least 2 years proven experience as a Quality/Inspection Manager in the Precision Engineering sector
- A good knowledge of both analogue and digital metrology equipment is essential, understanding of, and hands-on attention to, continual improvement policies underpins their QA system; additionally, a working knowledge of SPC and FMEA systems is desirable.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods, procedures and technical drawing interpretation
- Mastery of day to day IT requirements including MS Office (Outlook and Excel particularly) is essential.
- Experience of controlled export procedures would be an advantage.

Qualifications
- Formal qualifications in metrology are not essential for applicants with a proven track record within the manufacturing sector.
- Vocational training from the leading equipment manufacturers would be an advantage.
- Formal training in quality systems implementation and/or management to at least ISO9001 would be desirable but training would be offered to the successful candidate. Experience of implementing AS9100 quality procedures would be an advantage.
