This trade aluminium window manufacturer has a unique opportunity for an ambitious and driven Estimator - Window, Doors and Curtain Walling to join our growing team based in Watford. We offer the successful Estimator a competitive starting salary of £23,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience plus performance based bonuses, pension scheme and other excellent benefits!
The company offers fully funded training to MSc level for the right candidate and seeks staff keen to develop themselves and the business. All staff have personal development plans to develop themselves within and beyond their roles at the company.
They are a focused, supply-only manufacturer of high quality bespoke aluminium and windows, doors, curtain walling and shop-fronts.
The Estimator Role
You will be responsible for quoting trade supply windows, doors and curtain walling for both residential and commercial sectors.
Key responsibilities as our Estimator:
- Providing quotes to clients for windows, doors and curtain walling for both domestic and commercial glazing systems.
- Taking calls from customers to advise on product choices.
- Track priced work by follow up calls
- Advising and helping clients with specification queries.
- Working towards set KPIs as part of estimating team.
- Full fast track training will be provided.
The ideal Estimator:
- Accurate and rapid computer skills are required, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- A practical nature, able to understand technical manuals and specifications.
- Hard working and ambitious individual keen to develop themselves.
- Numeracy and good English skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction or double glazing industry would be advantageous OR a degree in an engineering or construction based discipline.
- Auto CAD or similar is desirable
Their office is located on an industrial centre with no public transport, you will need to be able to travel to and from work independently. The office is based in Watford which is commutable from Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Borehamwood, Harrow, Edgware, Kings Langley and surrounding areas.
