Superb opportunity for an Estimation Assistant to join a forward thinking Kitchen, Bathroom and Home Interiors design, manufacture and installation company at an exciting time in their growth. £18k - £22k depending on a candidate.

The Estimation Assistant is responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager in delivering a professional, efficient and effective business development function.

Main Area of Responsibility
- Learn and understand the company method of estimation and new business development.
- Learn and maintain a strong and in-depth knowledge of their product portfolio, and develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key company supply chain partners.
- Provide a dependable support function to the Business Development Manager.
- Understand client requests and assist in the preparation and production of new business estimates.

Primary Objectives
- Become fluent in the estimation process, the methods used and the concepts applied.
- Confidently assist in producing competitive estimates that accurately interpret existing and potential client requirements.
- Analyse and interpret construction drawings.
- Develop professional relationships with longstanding clients and new customers to support and encourage new business orders.
- Be a contributing member to the ongoing development of the department.
- Long term: provide cover and maintain a limited service for the Business Development Manager during times of absence.

What you will do in your working day
- Obtain competitive prices for items specified by clients.
- Obtain comparative quotations.
- Carry out administrative tasks.
- Communicate with new and existing clients via email and telephone.
- Follow up estimates and quotations for new business.

Skills & Knowledge
- Leadership Skills: You will need to keep those involved on your project motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions at times.
- Time Management: You will be working with employees, clients and management, often spinning multiple plates at once.
- Communication skills: You will need to communicate with a wide variety of people using many different platforms.
- Polish language is a requirement.
- Numeracy skills: You must have great accuracy and attention to detail (business math skills will be tested in the interview).
- IT skills: You will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office and other industry preferred applications (Microsoft Excel skills will be tested in the interview).

Education and Experience
Experience within the commercial furniture industry would be beneficial in addition to a good knowledge of the construction industry.

Work Environment
This is a Full-Time role. Hours 8.30am to 5.30pm with one hour for lunch.
