Estate Services Operative
Fixed Term Contracts up to 26th October 18
Grade 5 - £20,660 - £23,398
Full time – 35 hours per week

Due to internal changes with the Estate Services Team and their commitments to seasonal work, they now have an exciting opportunity as an Estate Operative. The hours of work are from 08.00am to 15.30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required according to the demands of the service.

The post support an already established and valued range of services offering a wide broad spectrum of activities and services to their residents and to Northwards Housing

The work can involve a variety of environmental based work to their gardens, green spaces, and other open spaces across their management area. This can also include the cleaning of communal areas and supporting their caretaking team. These roles ensure that we will provide a high quality, responsive and community focused service aiming to improve the local environment for residents and the communities in the North of Manchester.

You must be reliable, conscientious and able to work in a physically demanding environment and in a range of weather conditions. As a self-motivated person you will have experience of working within a team as well as an understanding of health and safety issues and assessing risks. You will be required to work with minimal supervision, ensuring high work standards are maintained and that personal and customer safety is upheld at all times.

Good communication skills and the ability to confidently interact with residents is an important element of this post and applicants must project a professional image of the organisation at all times. A full UK driving license is essential and must have been held for a minimum of 12 months.
