This company is charting new territory for its award-winning engineering consultancy services. Leading the way in offshore marine, oil & gas, subsea, equipment, defence, renewable energy and associated sectors they have a progressive expansion plan in the UK and beyond. Growing our skilled engineering team is critical to their plans.

They are an employee owned business providing engineering, design, analysis, project expertise and specialist handling and access equipment to international marine, offshore, subsea and renewable energy markets. They serve a broad range of clients that includes oil and gas operators, drilling companies, specialist vessel operators and public-sector bodies.

Their Engineering Services team primarily supports the Oil and Gas market, with engineering and construction support to offshore assets in service. Work scopes include SPS coordination, deck load increases, hull modifications, marine/ drilling/ mooring system modifications, crane pedestal upgrades, vessel conversions, equipment integration and steel work replacement. Deliverables vary from analysis reports and front-end Engineering Design, through design of structural modifications, to the turnkey delivery of complex construction projects.

They have a desire to diversify our market position and broaden the range of services they offer. This role has a key part to play in that aim, with a specific remit to build their engineering position into UKCS operating assets and vessels.

The Engineering Services Director will be responsible for the efficient running and development of a group of discipline engineers. This team supports internal project teams with engineering input, while also having a portfolio of external clients for whom specialist engineering services are delivered.

There will be an element of business development in the role as the Engineering Services Director is charged with building our position into the Aberdeen market, so we can offer a wider range of high end engineering services to customers. Excellent client facing skills and tenacity are pre-requisites, together with strong technical skills in naval architecture, structural engineering or similar engineering discipline, preferably at CEng level..

As a member of their senior management team the Engineering Services Director will be expected to support the wider business management activities of the company.
