This company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality static storage solutions, state of the art intra logistics and automated material handling systems. The technology includes robotics and complex software solutions. They have a strong order book following major wins this year and they are looking to expand the team.

With this continued growth they are looking for an experience Engineering Manager to work within a customer site based in Daventry

You will be responsible for a small team of engineers delivering the day to day maintenance of fast flowing material handling equipment as well as delivering key service elements including planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification and eradication.

Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with the customer
- Provide hands on technical knowledge and support in line with agreed SLA’s
- To lead and provide a reactive and preventative maintenance service
- Work towards agreed KPI’s
- Responsible for all aspects of team management
- Police all H&S matters on site including risk assessments

You will be an effective communicator with strong engineering and managerial experience in order to balance the demands of supporting your team and the Customer. With an ability to influence others you will be results driven proactively minimising down time and reactively working to key performance indicators.

You will be able to demonstrate the following skills in addition to the relevant job description requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels
- Continuous improvement on site
- High standards of customer service and professional manner
- Confident with IT packages, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proven track record
- Ability to prioritise own workload and manage a team

In addition to the above you will observe quality and control processes in line with company and customer requirements. From time to time, you will be required to travel to other sites for training/meetings.

Qualification/Experience Requirements:
To apply for this position, the minimum requirements are as follows:
- Minimum of HNC/Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Thorough knowledge and experience of SCADA Systems and WCS (Warehouse Control Systems)
- A recognised apprenticeship in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- PLC knowledge and experience
- Experience of automated materials handling equipment
- IOSH Trained
- Previous managerial, team building and coaching skills

Hours:
Standard working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 4.00 pm.
