ABOUT

This is a vibrant and fast paced tech startup, addressing the broken methods around collecting and processing leads from events. They are the forerunners of Event Lead Capture, offering a quality solution that connects events, sales and marketing for businesses all over the world.

They are 5 years into their journey, having developed our platform and established global success. You would be joining a performant startup which has great foundations, strong values, and with huge scope for growth and innovation. When better to get involved with a company on a mission?!

THE ROLE

Top technology is at the nexus of our success, and they need someone to come on board to help manage their engineers, facilitate our growth and ensure they continue to be a world class SaaS provider. Currently, they have an engineering team of 10 developers, but as they continue to hire and grow they are looking to restructure the team.

They are looking for a talented individual to come on board to help facilitate the team restructure, and to act as an inspiring leader and people manager your Developer team. You can expect to manage 4 - 6 talented devs from the offset, with that team growing under your guidance.

To break it down, the crux of your role will be to:

- Support your team’s career development through goals, 1 to 1s, coaching and mentoring
- Recruit and develop a team of great people
- Improve productivity & best practices of the team
- Maintain a supportive environment with a strong culture of feedback
- Develop engineering strategy as part of the team
- Help the team through good and bad times
- Enable the team to deliver as efficiently as possible

YOU
You’ll need to be a people person first and foremost, with a passion for developing and supporting a team. They would like someone with a working developer background, with experience in PHP or JS being the preference, but the bottom line is this role is a people role, not front line coding.

Essential:

- Prior experience of managing a team of Developers
- Significant experience with PHP, JS, or other web technologies (working developer background)
- Experience running Agile, kanban or other appropriate processes
- Experience working in startup environments

WHY WORK HERE?

They are looking to pay a salary of £50 - 55K for this role. They are committed to ratcheting salaries as they grow, so you’ll be rewarded for being an amazing employee and contributing to their growth!

You can also enjoy…
- A Macbook Pro, along with magic mice and keyboards!
- Monthly lunches (paid for by us, of course)
- A generous quarterly reading allowance, so you can buy books and other reading material
- Discounts for gyms, cinemas and a bunch of high street brands.
- Ample breakfast options
- Enjoy fully stocked fruit bowls all day, every day
- Opportunity for business equity
- Holiday flexibility
- Amazing work space. We’ve just moved to shiny new offices in Brixton!
