This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Engineering professional to join the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of this profitable, well resourced and expanding high volume manufacturing company.

The successful candidate will have full responsibility for all aspects of the Engineering function and, as a member of the SLT, will have a significant role to play in the overall management of the site. The ability to build and motivate cross-functional teams, the ability to effectively use Continuous Improvement techniques to drive operational improvements and the experience and skills to manage and/or contribute to Capital Projects will be pre-requisites for the successful candidate.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and motivate the Site Engineering function to delivers world-class standards and best-in-class operational performance within budgetary requirements.
- Drive the H&S agenda which contribute to a step-change improvement in functional and site safety performance.
- As a member of the SLT, contribute to the effective management of the site as a whole and help to create an environment which encourages cross-functional teamwork, good manufacturing practice as well as individual responsibility.
- Act as the site custodian of engineering standards and ensure that the site complies with all relevant legal and corporate requirements.
- Play a key role in the delivery of Capital Investment Projects
- Build capability across the site such that individuals can adapt to the current and future expectations of the business.

Skills / Experience:
- Ideally time served engineer or degree qualified engineer or equivalent.
- You will be a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who has a minimum of five years’ experience in an engineering management role.
- Ideally, you will have worked within a modern, challenging high volume production environment (FMCG) such as, but not exclusively, automotive, food and beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical etc.
- You will have comprehensive knowledge and experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems and demonstrable evidence of the successful implementation of progressive maintenance and continuous improvement techniques.
- You will have the strength of character to influence key stakeholders and a track record of developing and coaching a maintenance department.
- This is a high profile demanding role where good communications and relationship skills are critical.

The remuneration is flexible depending on experience and background and includes car allowance, bonus, pension etc.
