You will be working for one of the country’s leading providers into the medical device, nutraceutical and pharma industry which include: specialist blending and formulation, packing solutions, contract packaging, printing and manufacturing of products within cleanroom environments.

To safely & efficiently maintain & develop production machinery to produce a consistently high-quality product that meets manufacturing specifications & reduces machine failures.

Working hours
Mon - Thu 8:00 - 16:30 & 8:00 - 13:30 Friday

Flexibility is required as & when required including some overtime

Must be able to travel between Lancaster & Morecambe sites

Responsibilities
- Execute an effective planned & preventive maintenance program utilising the Entropy system. Extract and analyse data to ensure a constant state of continuous improvement
- Highlight any key issues to Management
- To work closely with supervisors, senior machine technician, print room manager & team leaders to improve production efficiencies
- Training machine operators as & when required when any machinery operations have been altered/improved
- Provide daily support to all operating teams having difficulty with troubleshooting, problem analysis & equipment failures, etc. Ensure the smooth daily operation of the facility with minimal repetitive issues
- Attendance to meetings, both with internal staff & external customers
- Perform mechanical & basic electrical maintenance of facility, as needed
- Analyse equipment failures, determines cause(s) & makes necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Operate machinery (if trained or with assistance of machine operator) & other equipment to observe operation to diagnose malfunctions or to test repaired equipment.
- Identify the problem areas and look for appropriate solutions to fix those problems and prevent the machines from deterioration.
- Ensure company facilities, including buildings & grounds, are maintained to company standards.
- Ensure all equipment conforms to safety standards.
- Respond to emergency situations where practicable for the purpose of resolving immediate safety, operations, and logistical concerns
- Maintain workshop facilities in a clean, safe, & orderly manner for the purpose of providing a safe, organised, & efficient workshop operation
- Diagnose malfunctions & determine repairs, service, &/or maintenance requirements of equipment and facilities for the purpose of ensuring proper operations
- Assist the team in upgrading the equipment with efficient tools and in the allotted budget
- Analyse plan and implement machine modifications and developments

Assist in the implementation of new products and trials when required.
