This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the Production Team at this world leading, rapidly growing business within the NDT Industry undertaking design, development and manufacture of specialist inspection equipment for the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry.

They currently have a rare and fantastic opening at their site, based at Swansea to join an innovative forward-thinking company and work as part of a friendly and highly motivational team in an excellent working environment.

Main Purpose of Job:

To assemble cables, connectors, pcb (surface mount and through hole) and panel wiring. Perform the testing and calibration of electromechanical products.

Responsibilities:

- Produce electronic parts and sub-assemblies
- Testing of sub-assemblies and parts using electronic test equipment such as scopes and multi-meters
- Final assembly of systems
- Creating new and updating existing build instructions to latest specification
- Perform calibration, final test and documentation and packing of new and returned products.
- Repair of electronic systems to component level
- Use drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units.
- Carry out tasks that are repetitive in nature with the ability to recognise non-conformity
- Work with the production engineering and the development team to improve product and manufacturing methods
- Work as part of the Production Team to achieve Production Targets and KPIs
- Involvement in annual stocktakes
- Ensure that Company Quality Policy and Procedures are applied
- Ensure that Company Health & Safety Policy and Procedures are applied

Person Specification

Qualifications/Training:
GCSE’s grade C or above in Mathematics, science and English or Equivalent
BTEC HNC/HND or higher in electronic discipline

Essential Experience:
- Minimum 3-6 years working in an electronic manufacturing environment
- Lead free through hole and surface mount hand soldering
- Good knowledge and understanding of analogue and digital circuits
- Experience of fault finding and root analysis

Skills Requirement:

- Ability to solder to a high level and knowledge of IPC-A-610
- Work as team toward shared objectives
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interface with people at all levels
- Must be able to work well individually with limited supervision
- Must be able to work accurately, efficiently
- Attention to detail
- Familiar with Lean 5s
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to problem solve under pressure and think outside the box
