The preferred candidate will have a background working within quality with the following attributes:-
- Electrical inspection background;
- Must understand electrical & mechanical engineering drawings;
- Good numeration skills;
- Computer literate, i.e. familiar with MS office;
- Good attention to detail;
- Use logical reasoning;
- Good communication skills; and
- Flexibility.
It would be desirable to have
- An understanding of ISO9001:2015;
- Knowledge of fault investigation techniques such as 8D;
- Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques; and
- Knowledge of the rail, automotive or telecommunication sectors.
Will be responsible for:-
- In-Line and final inspection of wiring kits, electro mechanical assemblies, cable assemblies etc against drawings and associated documentation;
- Reporting fault identification or errors to Management;
- Inspection and test of customer returns, determining what would be required to repair the item;
- Liaising with Quality manager, Project manager, Production manager on all aspects of the manufacturing and assembly process;
- Supporting Goods Incoming Inspection of Machined/Fabricated parts; and
- Supporting Quality manager in Auditing of company Procedures and Processes to ISO 9001:2015.
