This not-for-profit engineering and business training provider is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Instructor / Assessor to work from their engineering training facility in Washington, Tyne & Wear.

The successful applicant is likely to be a time served electrical engineer, with experience both in an industrial and domestic setting. They will be skilled at initial installation, testing, diagnostics and fault finding.

They will have recent experience in delivering engineering apprenticeship training and assessment, ideally with an understanding of the recently introduced apprenticeship Standards.

It is likely that they will hold a teaching qualification, ideally ay level 4.

Additional experience in the delivery of commercial electrical courses such as 17th edition, C&G 2394/95, and PLC programming would be an advantage.

Main Duties:
- Develop high quality teaching and learning resources
- Deliver high quality apprentice training programmes (electrical)
- Develop and deliver high quality commercial training programmes (electrical)
- Develop and maintain good and outstanding review, assessment and examination practices
- Maintain learner training records as required by awarding bodies
- Support the growth of apprenticeships and standalone training programmes

- They are located in Washington, Tyne & Wear close to both the A1 and A19
