This is an opportunity to join an innovative, highly experienced rolling stock engineering business offering a comprehensive range of maintenance, overhaul, repair and refurbishment services to the UK rail sector. Their focus is primarily on passenger trains and specialist infrastructure vehicles offering pragmatic, cost-effective turnkey design solutions where necessary.

They have worked hard over the last few years to see the company more than double in size to almost 100 employees at their premises in Kilmarnock which houses a 4-road, 14-vehicle capacity workshop.

Much of the work they do involves extensive safety critical activity and ensuring compliance with rail industry standards is essential, requiring the implementation and maintenance of all necessary processes and competencies as a vital component to their success.

They are now looking for experienced Electrical Testers to enable the repair and fault finding on Rolling-stock to ensure that they provide their customers with a reliable, safe and defect free train.

The role responsibilities are mainly:
- Electrical testing, fault-finding and diagnosis of rail vehicles and rolling stock
- Interpretation of electrical schematics and engineering drawings / specifications and understanding work instructions arising.
- The ability to examine, test and repair wiring looms and cables
- Familiarity with TPWS, AWS and TCA would be an advantage
- Responsible for the on-going job integrity and fault rectification arising from vehicle tests.
- Maintenance of test logs and customer documentation

Applicants must have a certified electrical background and come from a similar discipline in the engineering, rail, aerospace or automotive industries.
