This small but successful company specialises in the supply, distribution and installation of physical security solutions. Its main market is the UK but the company has recently started to become involved in export projects as well.

They are currently in the process of upskilling their workforce in several key areas. As a result they are looking for an electrician/access control engineer who is willing to broaden their horizons and think outside the box. You will be responsible for maintaining the electrical system of their main building in Brockholes and supporting their operations team with specialist installations for customers.

These installations could include programming, commissioning, fault fixing and installing electronic security products including safe locks, smart locks & other access control products, intelligent key cabinets & safe deposit box solutions. Work will also involve installations and service work of physical security products such as safes, vault rooms and security doors.

This is a growing business, coming from a physical security background, starting to enter the world of electronic security. The right candidate needs to be flexible and to enjoy the prospect of a diverse new role. They need to be willing to learn new skills and to share their own skills with others.

Requirements & key attributes:
- Either hold qualified electrician status or, have experience of working with access control and electronic locking solutions
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn new skills
- Ability to engage with and learn new technologies, given the right training
- Good level of computer literacy
- Polite & presentable
- Driving licence
- Willing to undergo security and credit checking
- Willing to work away from home and travel abroad as and when required
- Willing to get involved in all aspects of the company’s installation & service work (non electrical)

- £28,500 p.a.
- Regular working hours Mon-Fri 8am-6pm as required by the Operations Manager
