Position Overview:

The Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing and repair of stationary industrial machinery and electrical / mechanical equipment.

We are happy to receive applications from both Electrical Maintenance Engineers and Mechanical Maintenance Engineers for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Health and Safety Legislation and Company policies are being complied with at all times.
- Carry out electrical / mechanical repairs on any and all plant and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and rectify electrical /mechanical faults and problems
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in maximising Plant availability through the implementation of planned and preventative maintenance schemes.
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, PLC devices, variable frequency drives and other electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, ladder logic, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools.
- Trouble shoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic power systems.
- Coach /develop Apprentices to ensure successful task completion.

Position Requirements:
- Significant experience in an electrical or mechanical maintenance position.
- Time served electrical/mechanical engineering apprenticeship program.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Practical experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), DC Drives, Servo Controls, Pneumatics, Temperature Controls and Power Distribution Systems.
- Familiarity with IEE wiring regulation 18th Edition
- Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Microsoft Office experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
