eCommerce Manager - South West

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading independent builders’ merchants and has been supplying materials to the trade for over 200 years. They have 39 branches throughout the South West, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and a turnover in excess of £90m.

They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced eCommerce Manager to take total ownership of their existing platform and customer experience.

What will you be responsible for?

Reporting into the Marketing Director and working closely with all functions of Marketing and category, the eCommerce manager will take on the tasks of;
- Owning the ecommerce sales strategy to improve and evolve customer experience and drive improvement in the conversion rate
- Analyse the performance of channels and implementation of product merchandising
- Upload all new product information and data, and photography and maintain and review this against performance
- Plan and control the ecommerce budget for marketing, technical, creative etc.
- Day to day maintenance of the website, liaising with external web agencies where appropriate
- Work closely with digital marketing to complete the customer journey and help inform traffic driving solutions

Who are they looking for?

The ideal candidate will be highly commercial with an analytical mind-set, utilising a hands on approach with a can do attitude to get things done. You will have previous experience with CMS platforms and data management tools, as well as experience of building teams to deliver strategies. It is essential that you have Knowledge of PPC, SEO, affiliates, email marketing and Google Analytics, along with how this impacts the customer journey and how site analytics can inform these tactics and strategies.

3+ years in ecommerce with a proven record of managing and delivering sales growth and innovation is required.
