This company is a leading European supplier of technical textile threads to the Automotive Supply Chain. They are now looking for a Dye House Manager.

As a Dye House Manager, you will be reporting into the Production Director, responsible for producing goods of the required high quality, standard and value for use in the technical and automotive markets by use of textile processing machinery.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure quality systems & procedures are adhered to
- Ensure specified production dates are met and produce KPI figures to rate performance
- Maintain and improve right first time dyeing levels
- Ensure recipe adjustments maintain shade continuity across batches.
- Adopt & implement continuous improvement principles & disciplines
- Management and control of all operational tasks including movement of goods to other departments
- Management of machine allocation & consumables to ensure production maximisation
- Management of accurate staging of workload in order of priority & business requirements
- Manage production movement through SAP
- Daily management of personnel within the department
- Daily measurement & monitoring of operator efficiencies
- Staff & workload planning to optimise performances
- Ensure all areas are clean, tidy & that goods are organised in line with 5S principles
- Management of health & safety concerns within the department
- Management of daily operational issues as they arise
- To ensure appropriate communication with other departments & senior management
- To install systems and procedures within the dyehouse to facilitate and improve overall service
- To lead waste and operational initiatives to maximise operational benefits within the business
- To manage engineers to ensure departmental improvements and routine repairs are undertaken in a timely manner.
- To order dye & chemical supplies to maintain required stocks to meet production demands.
- Attend and contribute to management meetings as required by the business
- To participate in the cross functional team activities in the dyehouse in support of new product introduction (Control plans and FMEA’s), problem solving and continuous improvement activities
- To be an active member of the Management team, reporting monthly on KPI’s, initiatives and progress on agreed actions and Quality targets

The successful candidate will have:
- ASDC or similar appropriate qualification
- Experience in dyeing varied Fibres/Substrates, predominantly Polyamide.
- Automotive Industry experience
- Experience of Quality Core Tools.
- Intercultural Competence
- Ability to problem solve and makes decisions.
- Team working capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- People Management Skills
- Loyalty and discretion
- High degree of personal integrity and confidence
- Experience in the use of MS
- Flexibility, sound work ethics and integrity
- Diligent timekeeping & excellent time management – able to prioritise and mange work loads
