This Social Enterprise provides a range of diverse cultural, sporting and physical activities throughout East Devon and South Somerset in the sectors of indoor and outdoor sports, swimming, exercise and health, children’s play schemes, educational programmes, sporting and cultural events and the performing arts.

They are now seeking a Duty Manager to join their dynamic organisation. The ideal candidate should have a minimum two years supervisory experience in a leisure environment and will be energetic, committed and who strives to deliver excellent customer service. Working hours will 37 per week to include evenings and weekends on a shift basis.

Job purpose

Assist the Leisure Manager with the safe, efficient and effective management of the Leisure Centre, deputising in their absence.

Assist the Leisure Manager to communicate, implement and achieve the centres annual target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), aims and objectives, providing leadership, motivation and coaching to Team members.

Essential attributes

- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience within a leisure/pool environment
- Duty Management experience
- I.T. competent
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation within the leisure industry
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Full driving licence and own transport

Desirable attributes

- Leisure Management Qualification
- Current First Aid Qualification
