The purpose of the job is to be able to collect and deliver pumps from their customer sites over the NE & NW region, assist engineers on and off site, clean and prep pumps for re-assembly in workshop. Also to be involved in and receipting in checking goods/spares, packaging and dispatch while also maintaining/checking the facilities stock holdings.
Task & Responsibilities
- Driving - collecting and delivering pumps, parts, goods etc.(customer facing)
- Working on site alongside fitters and assisting where needed
- Working in the branch carrying out the tasks listed below:-
o Shot blasting components
o Cleaning pump components either in hot wash or by hand as required.
o Assisting the engineers on strip and builds of pumps
o Painting, greasing & pdi of pumps before dispatch
o Checking in deliveries against delivery notes, correct parts, not damaged etc.
o Checking stock in the stores match reported stock levels, report back any discrepancies.
o Liaising with office admin for paperwork, job packs etc.
It is essential you have a full, clean driving licence and have experience of working within an engineering environment. It would be desirable, but not essential as training can be given, to have a forklift licence, experience with shot-blast use and spray painting.
