Do you have tact, compassion and are comfortable working in the funeral sector, handling animal bodies and remains (ashes)? This company is looking for an individual who is dedicated to treating all of their families and their pets with dignity and respect. This role is your chance to make a difference in a person’s life – turning a solemn situation into a memorable experience through your compassion and attention to detail.

Job Overview

The role involves two related job functions.

As a multi drop driver, you will collect deceased animals from homes and organisations and return remains (ashes) to homes. Other business-related collections and deliveries will be required.

The Technician role will be to process the cremation of animals using an incinerator. You will also be expected to package the remains.

This job requires an individual who is capable of independent working while following a daily schedule but who is also part of a wider team providing a seamless package of care. You will be expected to adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies. The amount of time you will complete each job function will vary day to day.

This is a customer facing role and therefore requires someone who is able and confident of dealing with a variety of groups to include but not limited to bereaved individuals, suppliers, and related organisations.

Requirements

Driving experience is essential. The successful applicant will be fully trained on the use of this model of Incinerator, however previous experience using similar machinery is desirable.

- Ability to deal with pet loss in a compassionate, comfortable, and professional fashion
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure that each return package is 100% accurate
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skill
- Must be of legal age (for company car insurance purposes) and hold a valid full manual driving license for a minimum of 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points (restrictions apply)
- No unspent criminal convictions

COVID-19 considerations: If working alone, no mask required, when with customers a mask is required.

Safety measures have been put in place at the worksite due to Covid-19 and new delivery protocol methods are being used by all drivers to protect them and their customers
