This leading world class logistics and supply chain Company is looking for a Divisional Procurement Director.

The purpose of this newly created role will be to strategically lead the Purchasing, Contracts Management, Inventory Management, Procurement Innovation and Master Data Management within the business both within the UK and internationally where this Company is enjoying significant growth. You should be able to demonstrate experience of the above procurement skills and competencies within your work experience.

The incumbent will have responsibility for a team of professionals across a number of sites based from Liverpool, Manchester, York, including office/operational sites. The main purpose of the role will be to ensure the function is delivering a high quality service to the business areas within the Company, delivering SLAs, exceeding client expectations and constantly driving improvements to provide a world class service to clients. The role sits within the Senior Executive team for this Divisional Business Unit.

The Company is looking for an experienced professional who can demonstrate a broad portfolio of procurement and leadership skills, perhaps with some international experience. You may have spent time within an aerospace, power or engineering environment. Equally if you have worked on acquisition and integration management, this Company will welcome your application. You will be able to demonstrate your commercial understanding and impact that your leadership has on an organisation. This role is not looking for someone to focus on piece part pricing or availability – but to take a holistic approach to strategically enhancing supplier relationships to grow business for the Company and supply chain whilst identifying and building functional capability.

A successful incumbent will demonstrate strong inspirational leadership – whilst being able to get into the detail to coach and support the Management structure within responsibility to deliver the Company objectives. This role is based in South Yorkshire (M1/M18 corridor) with travel to Divisional sites.

Applicants must be educated to degree level or equivalent with professional memberships to CIPS. Interviews will consist of first stage numerical/verbal testing and video conferencing. Successful candidates will then be invited to site to attend a panel meeting. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship requirements.
