About the job

As a co-op, they are more than the sum of their parts and they are seeking a Distribution Office Manager for their Regional Distribution Centre in Greenford, London. This is a fixed term contract of 18 months. If successful, there may be an opportunity to apply for Trial Membership which is their pathway to a permanent contract.

As a Distribution Office Manager, your role is to ensure the smooth running of the London office, You will offer the highest levels of service to their customers, drivers, suppliers and build excellent relationships with their operations in Elland, West Yorkshire. Reporting to the Transport Manager you will have overall daily operational control and ensure that all deliveries and collections are made legally and cost effectively. An impressive knowledge of London will help you to route their deliveries efficiently and accurately.

You will be the first point of contact for drivers at the RDC and will help deal with, or refer pastoral or disciplinary issues, working closely with the People Development Coordinator and being able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

About you

As Distribution Office Manager you will need:

- A good understanding of HGV deliveries and legalities
- An excellent knowledge of London’s roads and distribution network
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience of delivering first class customer service
- An understanding and respect for the co-operative values and principles
- To be willing to work cooperatively
- To want to contribute to the wider business
- To be a professional representative of the business
