This is an opportunity to join a privately owned marketing and events support company working with the tourist, arts and events sector in Scotland. Established in 1988 this company employs over 100 people throughout Scotland. Their passion is to generate visitors, audiences and customers for their clients via the power of print media.

They are looking to recruit a distribution and events manager to join their management team who will be an integral part of their successful business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in a mixed environment of office, warehouse and outdoors which will often require problem solving.

As this role involves working in a warehouse environment and outdoors you will need to be physically fit.

Due to the nature of events there will be a requirement to work additional hours including some weekends to meet business needs, especially during the summer.

What you will be doing:

- From day one you’ll help manage everything from the merchandising, warehouse, events and operations teams.
- Scheduling and planning all aspects of our work ensuring they deliver the full services sold to our customers
- Work closely with the admin and sales teams.
- Help deliver the mostly weekend event support at key points mainly during the summer.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a team and be:

- A calm, strategic thinker who is adept at multi-tasking and thrives in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
- Able to plan, prioritise, and organise individual and group activities and processes.
- A great communicator who enjoys working with and managing people
- Happy with carrying out physical work outdoors in all weathers.
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Experienced in scheduling and planning and have an eye for details
- Good with computers and technology.

Able to work evenings and weekends, especially from June-September, when restrictions on annual leave will apply.

Finally you must have a full UK driving licence.

Salary: £25500 Depending on experience
