The Role:

Working closely with the CEO and the senior leadership team the People Director will develop an integrated people strategy designed to deliver continued business growth, support ongoing business goals and maximise the culture and people capability of the business.

The People Director will be responsible for reviewing the existing people strategy to ensure it is fit for a modern technology company, and can deliver the transformation necessary to take this business to the next stage in its evolution.

Responsibilities:

The People Director will lead an existing HR team to deliver operational HR support to the wider business, continuously looking at ways to improve communication, workflow, employee engagement, satisfaction and compensation.

- Training, Learning and Development
- Talent Management
- Succession Planning
- Payroll and Benefits
- Mergers and Acquisitions

The Candidate:

The Director of People will be a seasoned HR professional and therefore a specialist in all aspects of people performance, organisation development and talent management.

The ideal candidate will already be operating alongside senior stakeholders in a business where they act as the face of HR for the company, and provide an advisory service to all employees on employment related matters.

Knowledge and Experience:

- Strong relevant Bachelor or Master Degree, or relevant HR related certifications, CIPD certification is a plus
- Previous experience managing a HR team, operating at a senior level with broader experience in organisational development
- Specific focus on leadership and talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, and change management
- Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills Exposure to TUPE, confidence in handling TUPE situations. Understanding of legal obligations and the ability to plan accordingly
- Strong working knowledge of employment law issues, and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common sense approach
- Exposure to the IT industry would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential
