The role

The Digital & Social Media Specialist plays a pivotal role in improving their member and customer experience by leading and overseeing our presence across social media channels and creating, editing and publishing online content.

Duties and responsibilities

- Working with the Head of Media & Communications to develop and implement their social media strategy
- Devising and implementing project plans for social media campaigns by working with internal and external stakeholders
- Working with teams throughout the organisation to identify social media opportunities to increase awareness of the organisation with both members and the public
- Creating and publishing relevant, original, high-quality content that meet their strategic objectives
- Educating other staff on the use of social media and promoting its use within the organisation
- Managing their channels day-to-day activity on Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Instagram
- Developing brand awareness and their online reputation

What are they looking for?

- Applicants will have significant experience managing social media and other digital channels
- Candidates will have strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
- Applicants will be experienced in sourcing and managing content development publishing and should demonstrate creativity and in-depth knowledge of social media platforms
- Significant experience of production and editing of high quality digital content is essential
- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to link social media and digital activity to wider business goals
- Applicants should be degree educated or possess relevant experience
